Install Viber and Create an Account

Learn how to install Viber and set up your account so you can message and call the people you care about more easily.

Steps for Android

  1. Find and open the Play Store

    Find and open the Play Store app on your device.

  2. Go to Search

    Tap the search icon.

  3. Search for “Viber”

    Type “Viber” in the search bar.

  4. Tap “Install”

    Tap the “Install” button next to the Viber app.

  5. Wait for the security scan

    Wait for the security scan to finish so you can open the app.

  6. Open the app

    When the scan is finished, tap the “Open” button at the bottom of the screen.

  7. Allow access

    Tap the “Allow” buttons for the microphone and notifications.

  8. Tap “Get Started Now”

    Tap the button to begin the registration process.

  9. Enter your number

    Enter your mobile phone number, tap “Continue”, and then tap “Yes” when asked whether the number is correct.

  10. Confirm with a code

    Viber will send a code to your phone for verification. Enter it to continue.

  11. Allow access to contacts

    When asked to allow access to contacts, tap “Continue” and then choose to share all contacts.

  12. Complete your profile

    Enter your name and date of birth by tapping each field, then tap the purple finish button.

  13. Confirm your age

    If asked, select the button that says “I am over 16 years old”.

  14. Close any pop-up window

    If a pop-up appears, tap the “X” in its top-right corner to close it.

  15. Accept the terms

    Tap “Accept All” and then “Continue”.

  16. You are ready

    You are now ready to use Viber.
