Removing a Widget

Widgets are small windows on the Home Screen that show information at a glance, such as the weather or date, without opening the app. Learn how to remove a widget from your mobile phone’s home screen to keep your screen better organized.

Steps for Android

  1. Long-press on the widget

    Press and hold on the widget you want to remove.

  2. Move it to the top

    While holding it, move it to the top of the screen and release it once you bring it over the “X” icon. You will see the widget change color, which means it is over the trash can and will be removed.
