Open Messages
Open the “Messages” app. Start a new message
Tap the icon for a new message. Choose a recipient
Click on the search bar next to the word “To”, type the name of the contact or the person’s number, and then click on their name to select them. Write and send
Tap the message line, type your message, and tap the green send arrow.
